This year alone, 77% of Texas teachers seriously considered leaving the classroom, due to excessive workload, insufficient pay, and disrespect for the profession as major factors in that decision. The Texas legislature has failed our teachers so it is left up to us.

If we want to attract the best teachers to NISD the first step is to improve teacher compensation and working conditions.
